On February 21, the installation of an i5 sheet metal laser was successfully completed in the Seoul National University, College of Engineering. Bodor Korea is delighted to announce that, for the first time ever, our laser equipment has been installed at an institution.
The delivery ceremony generated a lot of interest, especially among the engineering students. Everyone was excited about the machine as well as its potential in future applications. There were also discussions about how the machine would help them develop new skills and expertise in terms of research and projects.
Laser technology is transforming our daily lives in various ways, and it brings added value to universities. In many specialty areas such as industrial design, model making, or mechanical engineering, the machine tool is an essential part of the standard workshops. A compact sheet metal laser like Bodor i5 enables students to put together the process, from ideas to finished work pieces. It also creates opportunities for projects and expands the scope of research in a safe operating environment.
“It was remarkable to see a Bodor laser cutting machine sitting in an academic setting,” said Adam Liu, the CEO at Bodor Overseas Marketing Center, “it meant a ton to us that our laser has become a part of education. We hope this technology could help prepare students for their careers in machinery and engineering.”
